Her grandparents are Clariece Alderman of Crossville, the late Charles D. Alderman, Candace Boone of Decatur, and the late Edwin L. Boone. The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Central Baptist Christian School, Memphis, and is currently a student at The University of Memphis. He is the grandson of Anne Black of Huntsville, the late Weatherford-Hicks Lloyd and Martha Carbaugh of Mercersburg, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sharon Weatherford, to Tony Hicks.

He is the son of Lenard Hicks of Murfreesboro and Linda Campbell of Joelton. The bride-elect is a graduate of James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg, Pa. She is employed at Aladdin Industries, Nashville, as a miscellaneous operator. Her grandparents are Betty Bingaman of Greencastle, the late Bud Bingaman, Cora Carbaugh of Mercersburg, and the late Lloyd Carbaugh. She carried a bouquet made by her sister, Shirley Wood. Jennifer Canter served as her mother's maid of honor. Paul Wood, brother-in-law of the bride, was best man. He is the grandson of the late Nelms-Truitt Bill and Mary Nelms of Mur-freesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Pamela Jane, to Bradley Davis Truitt. He is the son of the Rev. Robert and Judi Truitt of Louisville, Ky.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Oakland High She is a majority member of International Order of Rainbow for Girls and Order of Eastern Star, and was presented at the 1992 Vanderbilt Children's Hospital Charity Debutante Ball. A senior at Bethel College in McKenzie, she will graduate in December with a degree in education. She is president of Alpha Phi Sigma social sorority, and is a cheerleader for the basketball and football teams. She is also a preschool teacher at Grace Christian Academy in McKenzie.
