Charlotte Ann Lewis Durfee Charlotte Ann Lewis Durfee, age 73, of Murfrees-boro, passed away on November 26, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was a native of Shickshinny, Pennsylvania but resided in Rutherford County.

She worked as a Nurse's Assistant at Lourdes Hospital in Birighamton, New York from 1982 to 1985 then at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina from 1988 until retirement in 2004. She was a member of Walter Hill Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She was a member of Sweet Adelines Chapter in Bing-hamton, J.C. and Endicott for several years. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Harold F.

Durfee and her parents, Samuel Lewis and Alberta Rood Lewis. She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Penny) Stockholm of Murfreesboro, David (Linda) Stockholm of New York and Christopher (Kathy) Stockholm of South Carolina; brothers, Samuel D. Lewis of Florida and Howard Lewis of New York; sister, Marilyn Maxwell of North Carolina; and seven grandchildren, Derek, Dennis, Paige, Bradley, Bethany, Alyson and Scott Stockholm. Howard Wavely Hay-nes, age 63, of Fairview, NC, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009. A native of Rutherford County, TN, he was the son of the late Ellis Howard and Mary Catherine Harper Haynes. Mr. Haynes was a retired appliance repairman and was a 1964 graduate of Central High School in Murfreesboro, TN.

He is survived by his wife, Nanette Haynes of Fairview, NC; daughters, Traci Goodwin, Mandy Dismang, and Danielle Haynes, all of Mt. Juliet, TN; sisters, Shirley Fowler of Smyrna, TN, Linda Lee of Murfreesboro, TN, Kathy Corum of Cumming, GA and Sandra Law of Lebanon, TN; six grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov.

29, 2009 at College 3 1 1 5- if? It Lindell D. Hockett Lindell D. age 75, of Christiana, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville. He was a native of Bedford County, and son of the late Burrell and Mary Gibson Hockett. Mr.

Hockett is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Fox Hockett; -son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kathy Hockett of Christiana; daughter, Laketa Powers of Christiana; brother, Doris Hockett of Murfreesboro; sisters, Berlene West of Bell Buckle and Nina Ruth Alford of Hoodoo; and grandchildren, Twana and B.J. Hockett, Trice and Lindsey Powers. Mr. Hockett had served in the National Guard and was retired from Greer Stopnut of Smyrna. At his request, Mr.

He was a native of Lahaina Maui, Hawaii but lived in Murfreesboro for the past two months. He was a member of the Methodist church and retired from the U.S. Army serving in World War JJ and the Korean Conflict in China, Burma, India, Pacific Islands, Okinawa ki I -iff M1 (enneth Ocruggs Kenneth H. Scruggs, age 59, died Nov. 25, 2009.

Mr. Scruggs was a native of Milan, TN, and son of the late Robert Howard and Doris Courtney Scruggs. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Rev. Don Morris officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Scruggs is survived by his wife, Brenda M. Scruggs; daughter, Heather Simpson of Smyrna; son, Kenneth Brian Scruggs of Murfreesboro; brother, Samuel Scruggs of Cedar Grove, TN; sister, Vikki Shetlan of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Michael Simpson and Summer Simpson; and one great grandchild, Lyla Simpson. Mr.

Scruggs was the owner and CEO of Star Com lit 5 lanice Lynn Lane Janice Lynn Lane, age 67, of Readyville died Nov. 25, 2009 at MTMC.
